Immigration Mental Health Evaluations/Expert Testimony

A mental-health evaluation and expert witness testimony can be critical to support a legal team in their petition to secure legal status for undocumented individuals in the U.S. Our culturally responsive and compassionate services can help individuals feel at ease during a particularly vulnerable and stressful process. Below are some of the petitions that we provide evaluation services for.

VAWA

The Violence Against Women Act is a waiver that allows undocumented individuals to petition for legal status in the United States when they’ve suffered abuse from a former or present spouse with legal residency in the United States.

Political Asylum

Undocumented individuals who have suffered harm and/or fear persecution from their country of origin can apply for legal political asylum in the U.S.

U-Visa/T-Visa

The U-Visa is a petition for legal status that can support undocumented individuals who have experienced a serious violent crime in the U.S.

The T-Visa is a petition for legal status that can support undocumented individuals who have experienced human/sex trafficking.

Extreme Hardship Waiver + Cancellation of Removal

The ‘extreme hardship waiver’ is a petition for legal status that supports undocumented individuals to pursue ‘cancellation of removal’ due to the hardship that ‘removal’ would cause on the individuals’ parents and/or children with legal residency.

‘Thank you for your interest in working with me! As a bilingual Arabic speaker, I have found that it’s been tremendously helpful for individuals who are native-Arabic speakers to feel more comfortable telling their story with a therapist that understands the language and culture. Please note, I am proficient in Moroccan Darija dialect only and this may or may not impact the communication depending on regional dialects of neighboring countries in North-Africa and Middle-East. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and we can talk through this together!
